Management Accountant
Location - Birmingham
Salary - GBP45,000 per annum
Job Responsibilities:
• Provide the UK monthly management reporting to all levels of the business.
• Constantly challenge the subjective judgements within the management reporting.
• Management and consolidation of all forecasting and budgeting.
• Management of the cash flow forecasting process.
• Management of the overhead reporting and forecasting.
• Driving change initiatives to maximise performance.
• Share knowledge and implement best practice.
• To ensure delivery and maintenance of high quality financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting and cash flow reporting to aid business decision making.
• Provide variance analysis and commentaries on key business drivers
• Interpreting and communicating financial data to non-financial managers
• Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems and suggesting improvements to the Systems Accountant, Financial Accountant and Head of Finance.
• Liaison with the Commercial Directors across the business in producing all the monthly contract management reporting, applying challenge where necessary.
• Liaison with the Financial Accountant to produce the monthly management accounts.
• Work with the Head of Finance and Commercial Directors to drive the collection for cash across the business.
• Communicate suggestions for increased efficiency within the department and business
• Supporting ongoing systems enhancements and processes
• Management of the monthly forecasting process.
• Management of the cash forecasting process.
• Management of the budgeting process and production of the annual business plan.
• Monthly liaison with the Central Departmental Heads, providing quality financial information to assist in their business decision making process, driving their budgets and forecasts.
• Take full responsibility of all client cost audit requests.
• Take responsibility for the modelling of key financial data and KPIs to improve the accuracy of planning and forecasting, to aid business decision-making.
• Assist the Financial Accountant in developing and training the finance team.
• Qualified accountant : ACCA, ACMA, ACA or equivalent
• Experience of the UK Construction/FM industry
• Able to communicate and build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
• Strong excel skills
