Position: Head of Financial Reporting
Location: Manchester
Salary: cGBP75,000 per annum + bonus + benefits

We are looking for Head of Financial Reporting to join the Finance department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial, regulatory & tax reporting process and maintaining a robust financial control environment. This position will report directly to the Finance Director and will have line management responsibility for the Finance Controller, whom has overall responsibility for the statutory and Manchester management accounts team.

The key responsibilities of the role are as follows:

Financial reporting:
• Ownership of the audit process & all accounting papers
• Oversight of the Group's annual & interim year-end report and accounts
• Drafting the joint statement for review by FD
• Ownership of the dividend memos for the Board
• Oversight of Investor presentations
• Ownership of due diligence process on potential acquisitions

Management reporting:
• Oversight of the monthly business review including improving the quality of information contained in the business review and efficiency of the production process
• Provide ad-hoc reports to management as requested by FD

Regulatory reporting:
• Assist the FD and Group FD in preparing the Group's consolidated ICAAP
• Embedding the ICAAP into the business
• Oversight of the Group's consolidated and legal entity quarterly reporting submissions to the FCA
• Ensure all regulatory entities hold sufficient capital to meet their regulatory requirements at all times

Payroll and taxes:
• Oversight of calculation, reporting and payment of Group's taxes
• Ownership of Growth share/CSOP valuation process

Robust financial control environment:
• Manage working capital for all entities within the Group
• Ensure necessary controls are in place to ensure customers are charged correctly
• Oversight of controls & processes for reconciliations between the pension administration and accounting systems

• Risk Management of the Finance department
• Oversight of the Group's financial controls and banking policies & combined assurance model for the Finance department
• The disaster recovery plan of the Finance department
• Management of the Finance cost centre & budget preparation

Essential skills:
• ACA/ACCA qualified
• Experience in a practice environment preferable
• Statutory and regulatory reporting experience
• Reporting experience (Board committees/auditors/management)
• Staff management experience
• Knowledge of IFRS framework
• Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills
