Boxtree Recruitment are working with an established insurance broker based in Maidstone, Kent who are recruiting for an experienced professional indemnity commercial account executive to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have a fundamental understanding of contractor, motor fleet, manufacturing and professional liability to manage and grow an already significant book of existing clients.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• To develop new commercial business and commercial relationships with relevant introducers including face to face meetings with clients, insurers and trade associations
• New business development with specific attention to Professional Indemnity insurance
• Active management and responsibility for leads generated by the marketing team
• Manage databases with the objective of achievement of new business targets
• Ensure all documentation associated in placing, amending or renewing clients' insurance arrangements is completed accurately and within a reasonable timescale
• Negotiate with underwriters in placing, amending or renewing clients' insurance arrangements
• Lead generation (website maintenance & content changes, e-shots, google clicks, marketing campaigns, editorials)
• Identify cross selling opportunities for existing policyholders to assist with the organic growth of the business
• Ensure accuracy, efficiency and professionalism when dealing with both client and insurer
• Efficient handling of customer complaints and claims
• Identify and pursue opportunities to generate leads and to insure new and existing clients
• Be up to date and remain up to date with compliance issues as well as maintaining and abiding by FCA regulations and guidelines at all times

Skills and Experience:

• Strong technical knowledge of commercial insurance with specific attention to Professional Indemnity insurance
• Experience of dealing with clients at face to face meetings and over the telephone
• Proven track record in sales and achieving growth in commercial insurance
• Self-starter who enjoys taking responsibility, making decisions and working to goals
• Confident and expert communicator
• Able to work independently with the minimum of supervision
• Excellent at building strong and sustainable working relationships
• Previous experience working as a New Business Account Executive role in a similar broking environment
Essential requirements

• Minimum of 3 years sales experience in Commercial Insurance
• Motivation to qualify for Cert CII or already have Cert CII
