We are currently recruiting for a National PR Manager for our client on a full time, permanent basis.

Job Purpose:
To advise on and manage national PR, including both proactive promotion of the business and issue management to protect and enhance the reputation of the firm.

Core responsibilities:
?? To work alongside the National Communications Director to define and implement the PR structure and strategy in the UK.
?? Proactively identify media opportunities and develop content ideas for national PR activity/campaigns aligned to business priorities.
?? Draft and edit a range of PR materials including press releases, media alerts, commentary, and placed articles.
?? Handle reactive media relations, including crisis/issues management.
?? Develop and maintain a media training program, ensure spokespeople are appropriately trained and briefed for media interactions.
?? Develop and manage relationships with key national and trade media, on and offline.
?? Monitor coverage and measure PR effectiveness, manage the weekly news summary and campaign analytics.
?? Manage relationships with third parties, including PR agencies/consultants, copywriters and design agencies.
?? Liaise with local partners/offices and PR agencies/consultants, to ensure local activities are aligned to the national PR strategy.
?? Oversee submissions for relevant external awards and surveys
?? Support on the UK Annual Review publication, drafting content as needed.

Person Specification:

?? Extensive experience of working in a busy PR environment, preferably a mix of in-house and agency - essential
?? Experience within professional services / partnership environment would be an advantage.
?? Track record of managing high profile PR programmes, including crisis/issues management.
?? Experience of working with a broad mix of media including national, trade, regional and broadcast. B2B experience essential; B2C advantageous.
?? Experience of managing third party suppliers including PR agencies, freelance copywriters/PR consultants and design agencies.
