Cassidy Crane Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a well-known Financial Services company, recruiting for a Risk Analyst to join their head office team in Epsom.

Risk Oversight is responsible for providing constructive challenge of policy and procedures across a broad range of business risks. These include operations, IT, loans underwriting, funding and liquidity, interest rates and financial crime.

Candidates will need to have a numerate degree (minimum 2:1), have an interest /experience in data analysis/interpretation in system monitoring/enhancements. They will possess an enquiring mind, be self-motivated and be able to think logically. They will also have excellent communication skills in order to discuss new procedures and unforeseen outcomes without confrontation. Numeracy and attention to detail is essential as well as a willingness to learn new concepts and challenge constructively.

The Role:

Risk Reporting (Control)
• Maintain and develop processes within the business for risk assessment, review of risk events and risk returns, analysis of trends and identification of emerging risks.
• Maintain the Operational Risk Register and associated reporting to EGRC.
• Support the responsibilities of Fraud Officer (e.g. covering production orders) and assist with content of staff training material.

Monitoring and review
• Undertake monitoring activity to identify failures to follow procedures or policy.
• Undertake thematic reviews to identify weaknesses in policy or procedures.
• Reporting of outcomes and key risks to EGRC, BGRC and the Board.

Stress testing
• Assist in the review and enhancement to stress tests undertaken within the group.

Risk Appetite
• Assist in the preparation of material to include within RRP, ICAAP, ILAAP or ad hoc papers for ALCO or EGRC.

• Act as secretary for Data Security Committee and Executive Group Risk Committee.
• Deputise for Senior Risk Analysts in taking minutes from ALCO


• At least 5 GCSE's Grades A-C (minimum grade C in Maths and English).
• Numeracy related Degree with minimum grade of 2:1.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in data analysis beneficial.
• Self-motivated.
• Logical thinker.
