My client a global market leader is currently looking to recruit a Payroll Specialist to provide specialist general ledger accounting and support to the EMEA Payroll Team in the coordination and administration of the EMEA payrolls.

Main Responsibilities:

*Complete the monthly payroll journals and balance sheet reconciliations for all payroll related accounts/costs for EMEA region.
*Accruals and reversals
*Timely and accurate completion of month and year end reporting
*Provide support in the coordination and administration of monthly payroll for EMEA Region via local service bureaus.
*Ensure all processes and procedures are adequately documented to comply with company and regulatory requirements, including SOX.
*Maintain SOX controls and processes
*Provide query resolution internally and externally
*Provide input and support the team on improvement initiatives

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

*Part qualified CIMA or ACCA and have at least 2 years of experience within a similar role.
*Previous payroll experience advantageous but not required
*Good interpersonal skills
*High level of computer literacy including spreadsheets (pivot tables, Vlookups etc), word processing (Microsoft), and experience automated accounting systems. Oracle experience highly desirable.
*Team player able to demonstrate flexibility, effective communicator and cool under pressure.
*Exposure to SOX and USGAAP would also be very advantageous but not essential.
*High degree of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
*Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
