A highly visable opportunity has arisen for a Senior Payroll Administrator - Reporting to the Payroll Manager

To provide administrative support to the payroll team with regard to quality assurance, pensions administration, (including auto enrolment), contribute to business improvement within the team, production of operational data to support financial planning and service delivery

*To provide guidance and support to the payroll team, including setting and monitoring of standards and targets within HR Solutions control framework..

*To prepare management information to review service trends and performance metrics, customer and service issues, including causation and analysis.

Transactional activity e.g. new starters, leavers, contract changes, payroll processing and HR administration associated with recruitment, are delivered within KPI.

*Ensure HR and Payroll transactions are processed to standards and deadlines to achieve KPI/PI and service level performance.

Ensure all information which may impact the team is clearly communicated and all costs and benefits are considered prior to any action being taken.

To ensure the team are kept up to date with service development initiatives, changes to policy and legislation and any issues relevant to the team operations.

*To act as point of escalation for investigation and resolution of customer complaints and incidents and to ensure these are reported in line with internal and external reporting requirements.

*To ensure that HR, Payroll and Terms and Conditions administrative processing is checked for accuracy and any anomalies are identified and reported.

*To develop action plans and maintain quality assurance processes to provide management reports.

*To ensure all procedures and processes comply with employment policies, data protection, legislation, diversity issues and best practice.

Ensure that continuous quality assurance processes are carried out, including provision of non-compliance and quality dashboard information

Essential

*Experience of working within an operational HR/Payroll environment

*Excellent organisational skills/experience, demonstrated by the ability to develop work plans for a team

*Be both flexible to ensure teams meet challenging deadlines, and be a team player for effective service delivery.

*Ability to build working relationships, negotiate and communicate with others.

*Well developed ability to manage and develop high performing teams

*Target driven and adaptable with strong resource forecasting capabilities.

*Experience in interpreting and implementing HR and/or Payroll legislation.

*Experience of working within a HR and/ or Payroll regulatory framework.

*Ability and experience of considering the implications of change and supporting management in implementing change, to meet service requirements.

*A good understanding of business assurance processes and working practices and their impact on business performance.

*Experience of managing and maintaining operational processes and procedures to comply with policies and data protection.
