This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established Lloyd's syndicate as the organisation's Credit Risk Analyst.

You will provide support to the Credit Risk Manager in analyzing the financial credit risk trading partners/other third parties and, when necessary, report the credit risk analysis into various committees, with recommended courses of action.

Your Key Responsibilities:

* You will conduct financial due diligence of broker, cover holder, insured and third party administrator risk assessments. Accountable for reporting this to the Credit Risk Manager and when necessary to the senior stakeholders of the business.
* You will contribute to setting best practice and minimum standards for credit and counter-party risk management, in line with risk appetite by assisting with the creation and maintenance of appropriate credit and counter-party practices and procedures.
* You will perform analysis of annual accounts/ financial statements and other relevant information for the trading partners/ other third parties - covering all new trading partners plus a periodic review of existing trading partners.
* You will apply common standards of analysis to the various forms of financial statements available.
* You will conduct analysis of financial data and other information available to determine overall credit risk to the business.
* You will undertake additional review procedures as requested by the various Committees or any other Department.
* You will liaise with the other departments as necessary to source all relevant information to be able to conduct the appropriate analysis.
* You will engage in ad hoc credit risk project work at the request of the Credit Risk Manager.
* You will apply a consistent risk approach across all of the companies, branches, territories, LoBs, overseas operations and DUA's.
* You will prepare reports and memos to the various Committees in a concise manner, taking into consideration the receiving audience.
* You will help set the parameters for the Capital Modelling team and prepare quarterly updates.
* You will be responsible for the Credit Risk team documentation (updating policy and procedure documents).

Required Knowledge & Qualifications:

* ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualification essential.
* Exposure to UK GAAP and IFRS necessary.
* Previous experience of financial statement analysis is essential.
* A highly analytical approach to work to complete detailed analysis.
* Good organisation skills.
* Ability to work in a tight deadline environment.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a wider team and on own initiative essential.
* Good written and oral communication skills.
* Good excel skills.
* A service orientated attitude to delivering business environments.
