Student Support and Welfare Manager

(Temporary until 31 August 2017 initially, with the potential to extend further)

Salary: GBP31,187 per annum

Tenure: Full Time, Temporary

An opportunity has arisen within our Student Services Department for a Student Support and Welfare Manager on a temporary basis until 31 August 2017 initially, with the potential to extend. We are seeking an inspirational Manager to develop and lead Student Support services to meet the needs of the learners and support effective curriculum to deliver the College's Mission and Vision.

This cross-college management role will be responsible for the management and development of a range of Student Support functions which include Learning Coaches, Additional Learning Support, Safeguarding, Counselling, College Nurse, Funding, Welfare, Student Behaviour and Disciplinary.

Working with the Director of Marketing and Student Services this post-holder will shape and lead the ongoing development of Support Services to meet the changing landscape in higher education, stakeholder needs and funding mechanisms.

A Relevant professional qualification (to at least level 3) is required and the successful candidate will be trained as a Designated Safeguarding Lead or be willing to undertake the training within 3 months. Previous experience within a Student Services Department alongside knowledge of SEND Equality duties and JCQ regulation would be beneficial.
