The Role:

The successful Head of Digital Acquisition and Optimisation will:

* Develop, maintain & implement a strategic plan for the acquisition & digital function, to ensure that the team's expertise is deployed to best effect to optimise spend and customer interaction.
* Lead, manage and develop the members of the acquisition & digital teams to ensure they have the required capabilities and tools to do their jobs, are motivated to perform effectively, and seek continuous improvement.
* Lead on major product related change projects and work with the rest of the Marketing department to ensure that any impacts and changes are understood and actioned to support delivery.
* Ensure that marketing budgets are managed effectively to ensure ongoing efficiencies and growth within existing channels.
* Ensure that targets are delivered for new customer acquisition, online conversion and upsell/cross-sell.
* Ensure the online customer journey delivers a best in class customer experience through external benchmarking, introduction of new innovative techniques and rigorous test and learn.
* Decide the overall approach of the acquisition & digital team, its strategy, priorities, and methods of working with the business.
* Decide the optimum use for budget to achieve the highest levels of ROI.
* Decide on the most appropriate creative and propositional messaging.
* Decide the most appropriate suppliers to support overall department objectives.


* Developing and delivering digital marketing strategy in line with the growth plans for across the portfolio of consumer brands
* Proven experience of development and delivery of online journey optimisation, aimed at increasing end to end conversion
* Demonstrable and proven track record of driving improvements in the customer journey linked to customer personalisation and data.
* Manage partner relationships and suppliers to deliver cost efficiencies.
* In-depth knowledge of tracking, optimisation and mobile solutions.
* Experience of measuring and analysing data to drive improvements, translating key insights and actioning them is essential.
* Identifying new channels, platforms and techniques that will improve marketing performance.
* Accountable for new customer acquisition across home, motor and ancillary products.
* Optimizing SEO, PPC, digital display campaigns and delivering improved conversion rates.
* Experience of building, managing and monitoring a small marketing team to support the company's strategy.
* Knowledge of digital technologies - including web analytics, CMS, including knowledge of Adobe Marketing Cloud suite of tools and other related products.
