Service Director for Communities Directorate

The post holder would lead our Safer, Stronger and Healthier Communities Business Unit. A rich and diverse portfolio of responsibilities makes this post particularly attractive, from commissioning, to early help, to community safety it's a real creative mix.

The right person will form part of the council's senior leadership team, working with the Executive Director and elected members to deliver against our key priorities.

We're looking for an accomplished and ambitious individual with a track record of relevant experience in senior community-focused or place based role. You will be adept at bringing different partners together behind common goals - and enthusing others with your passion for creating stronger, safer and healthy places to live.

Salary: GBP76,811 - GBP82,439 A 1% pay award is applicable from 1 st April 2017 when the salary range will increase to GBP77,579- GBP83,264

Location: Gateway Plaza, Barnsley, South Yorkshire
