Deputy Head - Curriculum & Data
Hugh Baird College is a large, dynamic Further Education College, in Merseyside, delivering 300 courses to more than 7000 students from entry level to full degrees.
In September 2014, we opened our 14 - 16 College offering vocational pathways alongside GCSE subjects for young people in years 10 and 11 and our student number have grown from 56 in 2014/15 to a 2017/18 target of 160.
In order to support this growth we are now seeking to appoint a Deputy Head -Data & Curriculum. This exciting new role will have overall responsibility for the identification, development, improvement and co-ordination of all quality assurance procedures, processes and practices across the 14 - 16 College, including line management of the curriculum delivery staff. The post holder will also be responsible for the attainment of key performance indicators relating to data collection, preparing accurate Progress 8 forecasts and calculations for students' achievement and progress.
The ability to lead, manage and motivate staff to achieve the highest level of quality and performance is essential. You will also have an excellent working knowledge of Progress and Attainment 8 methodology and have had substantial experience of using SIMs, Excel and other relevant data analysis software e.g. Raiseonline and equivalent packages, to collate, analyse and report on school performance data.
