Hiver is looking for someone bright and enthusiastic to join the team. This role is part-time and supported with a Finance Director and an external Accountant although there’s plenty of scope to grow the responsibilities and make the role your own. We are looking for someone with solid experience of Sage Accounts, good excel, spreadsheet and people skills and the confidence to take responsibility for this area of the business day to day, freeing up other members of the team and helping to drive the business forward. The role is primarily office based but we are happy to be flexible and work with people’s personal commitments.

Finance Administrator

  • Day to day book keeping (Inputting payments and credit notes, reconciling the supplier and customer ledgers)
  • Liaising with customers by email & telephone regarding invoice enquiries and statements
  • Checking all Purchase Invoices are in line with budget and quotes
  • Managing and reconciling websales, Paypal payments and weekly bar and market takings
  • Work with the operations manager to stock take across stock and supplies for the monthly stock adjustment
  • Supplying the Finance Director with reports and updating spreadsheets each month for management accounts
  • Ensuring all Sales and Purchases are allocated to the correct nominal code
  • Working with the Accountant to ensure VAT returns are prepared on time
  • Managing credit control
  • Ensuring hours are submitted to the Accountant in time for monthly payroll and overseeing the company pension scheme

Supporting colleagues with:

  • Processing orders
  • Answering the phone

Basic salary: TBC

Holidays: 25 days pro rata (these cannot be taken in periods of longer than two weeks)

Pension Scheme: We are part of the Nest scheme from August 1st 2017
