Hours of work Monday to Friday 8.30pm - 5pm

There is a Company Pension scheme, Death in Service of 3 times annual salary and 25 days holiday plus public holidays.

Commutable from York, Malton or Scarborough

The Management Accountant would be required to do the following tasks:

Picking up overhead costs of monthly accounts
Month end balance sheet pack reconciliations
Fixed Asset Capital spend
Purchase orders against assets
Weekly reporting on utilities
Overhead reporting

My clienr would like someone who is AAT qualified and is between quarter and half way through CIMA
They would consider study release but dependent on time out of the business.
They would prefer food industry experience but not essential
The salary for this position is between GBP28-30k

The holder of this role will deliver comprehensive support to the Site Finance Director and Senior Management Team in assisting them to further grow and develop the site.

Key to the success of this role will be the provision of accurate and timely management information upon which both the role holder and management team can act in order to maximise the growth opportunities that exist within the business. Involvement in the development and implementation of a strong and robust reporting system will be a key priority in order to deliver the objectives.

??Role Tasks/Responsibilities
-Daily/Weekly reporting of maintenance costs, utility costs, transport costs and other overhead costs
-Monthly P&L reporting to include overhead costs, engineering costs and transport costs
-Management of Balance Sheet, including all monthly reconciliations and reporting requirements into Group
-Report on capital expenditure spend to ensure that all projects are operating within budget
-To provide management information as requested and to develop the management reporting process on overhead costs
-Creating budgets and forecasts as required on overhead and capital spend
-Production of audit file at year end, to include all reconciliations and any supplementary information required
-Take an active part in the management / reporting of utility costs and environmental information
-Support the department in holiday cover on weekly and monthly reporting

3.1. Experience & Qualifications

-Appropriate level of experience and knowledge, ideally part qualified
-Experience of working in a manufacturing environment with evidence of variance reporting, ideally in the food industry
-Strong Excel analysis skills and the ability to demonstrate the application of logical analysis to manufacturing transactions
-The desire to be hands on, and to be seen on the production floor
-Understanding of the FMCG industry
-Experience of successfully managing tasks/projects to completion, ideally including systems implementation
-Computer Literate
-Numerate and analytical
-The ability to challenge the status quo
-Ideally experience of working with SAP
