I am recruiting for a Financial Accountant for a company based just outside Worcester city centre, close to J6 of the M5.

Salary: GBP35 - 40k.

This role is responsible for timely and accurate reporting of the Group results and
our historic data.

This incorporates:
- delivery of our Group management accounts on a monthly basis
- managing the production of our Statutory Accounts
- manages a team of 6 (PQ, QBE and Finance Administrators)

The role has responsibility for management reporting such as:
- Their Revenue Recognition/Revenue Reporting, Departmental Expenditure and investment in Key Business Initiatives.
- My client are implementing a new ERP system (SAP B1) during 2017/8.
- Flexibility will be required during the project implementation.

Stage 1 (Initial Go Live) is June 2017.
Therefore the role will be involved in the initial shaping and implementing of the Finance processes following the system launch. This will include supporting the Finance team with new ways of working to serve the business, and getting the new system processes running efficiently.

Stage 2 - and testing/launch)
Primary duties will be reparation and review of monthly management accounts for all Group companies - including managing the closing processes.
Preparation of consolidated management accounts including balance sheets and cashflows (4 trading companies, several holding companies)
Monthly completion of additional schedules for Board reporting eg variance analysis, trend reporting or ad hoc MI reporting where required
Be a lead contact working with the external auditors. Preparation and review of information supplied within Audit and Corporation Tax packs. Review of Corporation Tax Computations returned by our Tax advisors.
Preparation of statutory accounts for all entities
Preparation of quarterly Group VAT return
Review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Monitor cashflow, liaise with Credit Control Team Leader

Oversee purchasing for all companies (2 persons)
Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register
Maintain company price book and order quotation model for our sales team
Working with the Group Forecasting Analyst to assist in forward looking projections and budgeting
Perform any other ad hoc reporting duties eg R&D Tax credits, ESOS returns

- ACA / ACCA (or similar) qualified
- Knowledge of Accounting Practices
- PC literate with strong working knowledge of Advanced Excel
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- SAP B1 knowledge would be an advantage but is not a requirement

- Strong accounting knowledge
- Ability to work to tight reporting deadlines
- Ability to communicate at all levels within the company
- Ability to convey technical information to non-technical colleagues / customers - Methodical approach to dealing with / resolving problems
- Ability to work well within a team and under pressure
- Provides coaching to others within the team when necessary
- Willingly embraces changes needed to adapt to new circumstances
