Pricing Analyst - Bournemouth - Salary up to GBP30,000
Our client, a leading world wise company are currently looking to recruit a Data Analyst to join their team. The ideal candidate would come from an Insurance background but that isn't essential for this role. You will need to produce accurate reports and correctly analyse data with a keen eye for detail.
??Work with stakeholders from multiple business units (including Pricing, Marketing, Product, MI, Operations, Finance and IT), and external stakeholders, to use available data and tools to analyse business performance across multiple sales channels and policy transaction types.
??Create, integrate, maintain and develop analytical models as required by the Senior Pricing Manager; to include: Propensity models: new business quote conversion, cancellations, renewal retention, Price elasticity models, Panel competitiveness, Embedding lifetime value modelling (aligned with across Pricing / Finance), Customer segmentation and trending
??Assist with the identification and realisation of commission optimisation opportunities.
??Impact analyses which forecast the expected outcomes from pricing adjustments
??Propose price tests which are: implementable within current system constraints, controlled and targeted, with risks and expected outcomes calculated and communicated, and meet a specific volume/profit objective whilst providing price elasticity insights which support future price adjustments.
??Support successful implementation of agreed rating proposals. Generating rating tables or rating tool adjustments aligned to the price test as may be necessary, and working with the relevant systems and teams as required to ensure delivery within agreed timescales.
??Timely preparation of presentation-quality analytical content as will regularly be required by the Senior Pricing Manager
??Update and reporting upon monthly insurer panel pricing MI
??Recommend improvements and finding innovative solutions to existing processes, analysis and pricing techniques.
??Adhere to applicable audit and governance standards as required.
??Raise any Pricing-related system or process defects if encountered, via the appropriate channels, mitigating impacts, and supporting their resolution.
??Work with the Project Management team you will help manage and be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple projects aligned to the Pricing Team, as may be required.

Experience Required:
??Educated to A level or equivalent in a numeric discipline
??Price elasticity and propensity modelling experience desirable
??Ideally experience of relevant IT tools; Emblem / Generalised Linear Modelling (GLM) experience desirable, MS Access and SQL skills desirable but not essential
??Technical background, experience in interpreting data for business reporting
??Expertise in data manipulation, including strong financial/scenario modelling skills using appropriate techniques in Excel
??Knowledge of current insurance pricing techniques and Personal Lines market trends
??Strong knowledge of general insurance products, services, and sales distribution channels, especially Aggregators / price comparison websites
