Our client, a well established and successful second charge lender based near Watford, is looking for 3 Evening Collections Officers to join their expanding team. This role is offered on a part time, permanent basis, working 4pm - 8pm Monday - Thursday (16 hours per week).

The core purpose of the role is to monitor accounts that are in arrears and to negotiate payment arrangements with borrowers in order to bring their accounts up to date. This is a great opportunity for people who can only work restricted hours to join a customer focussed organisation, providing excellent customer service, and helping people in financial difficulty

Responsibilities include:

Contacting existing borrowers who are in arrears for proposals and repayments

Monitoring loan payments from completion until redemption

Contacting borrowers re direct debit returns

Instructing field agents where necessary

Instructing solicitors to initiate court action and repossession action where required and as a last resort

Collecting payments by debit card

Dealing with telephone queries from clients, solicitors and any other third parties

Complying with Money Laundering, Fraud Prevention and Data Protection regulations

Complying with CCA and FCA regulations including Debt Collection guidance

Ensure own compliance with the TCF policy

Maintain the company's compliance standards and own compliance training

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications needed:

12 months previous experience working within the financial services industry is desirable

12 months previous experience working within a mortgage collections role is desirable

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is essential

Basic knowledge of litigation processes is desirable

GSCE/GCE qualifications in both Maths and English are essential
