An opportunity has arisen in Northamptonshire for a financial services company, is looking for an up and coming Finance Analyst to join the team. The purpose of the Junior Finance Analyst is to actively contribute & assist the Finance function with analysis of the company's financial & FTE performance. The individual will achieve this by supporting the production of regular financial review & analysis, monthly reports & presentations. Key Responsibilities of the Junior Finance Analyst include, but are not limited to: Supporting financial analysts with the production of various monthly reports and accounts, including budget and forecast trend analysis to strict daily & monthly cyclesHelping to produce presentations and packs when requiredReconciling balance sheet accrual & prepayment accounts, and resolving issues with appropriate escalation to the Finance Business Partners, as necessaryCreating and booking monthly accruals & prepayment journal entries to tight month end timescalesAnalysing and approving weekly invoicesProducing Core FTE reports by site and function which is a key non-financial metricAssisting the management of the data warehouse and monthly reporting systems by maintenance of the Oracle & VENA reporting & appropriate look up tables in ExcelAssisting in the creation of monthly fixed asset records into Oracle ensuring the depreciation is booked to the correct account & cost centreAssisting with general finance related queries from line management ensuring a suitable response is supplied or escalated to a senior team member for resolutionProviding assistance on the consolidation, analysis and presentation of financial plansSupporting analysts in developing reporting systems and toolsAssisting with providing background and context information to support various forms of financial reportingUndertaking ad hoc project workPrincipal point of contact with Accounts Payable, in invoice query resolution and handling of confidential Manual Requests for Payment You will: Be studying towards a recognised financial examination (ACCA/CIMA)Have some experience in generating and analysing management informationBe numerate and analyticalAdvanced Excel skills - Competent with V Look Ups, Pivot Tables & Excel FormulaeGood communication and interpersonal skillsSupportive team member particularly in a multi-site contextUnderstanding of a Parent/Child organisational cost centre This company offers a competitive salary and benefits.
