Global Reporting Accountant

They are also a modern day success story achieving sustained and rapid growth across their multiple territories and divisions. They are now looking for a Group Reporting Accountant to join their central UK head office team. You will be part of a team taking responsibility for the consolidation and analysis of the global financial results as well as reviewing the reporting of the individual operating entities. Primary Responsibilities:• Preparation of the Group multi-currency consolidation for financial reporting and actuals • Assistance with sending out detailed instructions, working with System's Accountant to ensure the submission workflows are set up and preparation of group consolidation journals and associated tax packs, Managing and reviewing business units submissions and resubmissions to ensure they meet expectations, with business unit liaison throughout the process, and Responsible for preparing and reviewing the Group consolidation and then submitting to the parent company Preparing reports for management and the Board • Involved in all aspects of the external reporting process from preparation of the reporting process, through business unit submissions to the announcement of the results to the market• Ad hoc financial analysis and project work eg development of financial systems, business process re-engineeringDelivery of KPI's for financial reporting • Completion of other month end activities, such as review of submissions and liaison with business units as required• Process and timetable documentation on the reporting and planning activitiesDesired experience & skills • Qualified ACA (ideally straight from practice) /ACCA/CIMA • Experience of Head Office accounting • Strong technical accountant• Advanced Excel skills• Good analytical and problem solving skills• Strong time management skills• Good understanding of reporting systems• Self-motivated with proactive approach to work• Inquisitive and analytical mind with excellent attention to detail• Ability to work well under pressure and meet challenging deadlines• Ability to adapt to change• Willingness to work extra hours when required• Strong communicator with ability to maintain good working relationships with staff at all levels of seniority while ensuring colleagues meet their deadlinesExcellent career prospects and exposure across the business with an opportunity to move into the business or a more senior group role in 1-2 years for the right candidate.
