Job Responsibilities:

Portfolio

* Ensure oversight of all change projects and programmes in the portfolio, including process, people and technology change projects
* Ownership and management of the project resource process and prioritisation model for projects and programmes within the portfolio.
* Define the necessary reporting and KPI dashboards across Change that demonstrate and communicate the progress of the overall change portfolio
* Work with the Portfolio Forum to communicate, schedule and update key business stakeholders on the overall position of the portfolio
* Own, and continue to improve the company Change Framework ensuring all standards and associated controls are understood and adhered to whilst maintaining a flexible and agile approach to change delivery
* Support the need for continuous improvement through quality management activities across the portfolio.

* Work across the portfolio of change projects and programmes to ensure that project dependencies are understood and managed

* Introduce standard toolkits and templates within the portfolio to adopt and utilise where applicable.

Ensure that we have sufficient cost and benefit visibility and control, to ensure that as a business as a whole we are spending the right about of effort on change that is going to deliver largest business benefit

Project/Programme Delivery

* Manage relationships with the business areas to ensure that the team is seen as a 'value add' in the change process and that they are comfortable with allocation and management of projects tasks allocated to the business.
* Work with Project steering groups and boards to maintain project and programme direction and to deliver the agreed scope within the agreed timeframes and budgets
* Ensure that Change Projects & Programmes are fully delivered into the business ensuring that the business is ready to accept the change and that IT are ready to support any technology delivered
* To drive a culture of excellence within the change community through shared learning and best practice.
* Facilitating a schedule of peer reviews and audits to identify improvements and learnings and embed these back into common practises.

People

* Create a development plan for Project Managers that leads to a formally recognised certification in both Project and Change Management
* Lead a team of Project Managers in delivering change through the common approach, ensuring that the necessary resource and skills are available
* Provide oversight & guidance to Programme Managers (currently all contract resource)
* To drive a culture of excellence within the project community through shared learning and best practice.
* Day to Day line management of the team of Project Managers, PMO Lead including objective setting, appraisals and regular performance reviews.
* Work as part of the Business Change Management Team ensuring the department is offering excellent service and change capability to the organisation
* To ensure compliance with company and other relevant standards/ regulations at all times (including TCF)
* Any other reasonable duties as required

Job Specific Competencies:

Qualifications

* ?????????Formal qualification in Project, Programme and/or Portfolio Management

Experience

* ???Demonstrable experience of portfolio management in a fast paced organisation with 50+ projects within the portfolio across people, process and technology initiatives
* Understanding of Project and Portfolio Management techniques in an agile environment
* Solid experience of all stages of the software development lifecycle
* Previous experience of leading a PMO and a team of Project Managers is essential
