Due to a forthcoming retirement, we are looking to appoint a new Group Accountant. This role will support the Group Financial Controller in all aspects of accounts, taxation, audit, insurance, treasury, banking and shares. The company is well-established and highly regarded, a diverse Group organisation with sites throughout the UK. The ideal appointment will be fully qualified CIMA/ACCA with experience of working within a sizeable, complex organisation. Key Responsibilities: Preparation of the monthly accounts for the head office functionFacilitate the timely preparation of accurate management accounts across the group, and assist in completion as requiredUndertake analytical review on divisional accounts, highlighting any anomaliesPrepare monthly reporting schedules for Board Pack - summarising divisional performancesWork alongside Group Financial Controller with the year-end consolidation and reporting processwork alongside Group Financial Controller with the annual budgeting processComplete National Statistic Office returns for the GroupPrepare/collate information in respect of legal reporting requirementsMaintain share scheme accountsEnsure the share Ledger is kept up to date in conjunction with share registrarMaintain the accounts for Pension SchemeLiaison with third parties including the coordination of external auditorsSystems Development in conjunction with the relevant Divisional Business ManagersHandling insurance renewals and claims for GroupAdhoc projects and support to the Group Financial Controller as the business requires Qualifications and experience: Fully qualified Accountants or highly experienced 'qualified by experience' accountants should apply.
