Group Planning & Reporting Accountant -Global Entertainment Group -Consolidation of planning & actuals + special projects -GBP55-60,000 + competitive bonus & superb benefits This multiple award winning & cutting edge Entertainment Group is an employer of choice and a modern day success story achieving sustained and rapid growth across its multiple territories and divisions. They are now looking for a Group Planning & Reporting Accountant to join their central UK head office. You will take ownership for the group consolidation for the planning process, support the Group Reporting Manager with the consolidation of actuals and be involved in various project initiatives such as the development of the group financial systems & processes. Main Responsibilities:•Preparation of the Group multi-currency consolidation for Budget, Forecast and Plan Years, which are revised twice a year and rebased once a year. •Assistance with sending out detailed instructions, working with System's Accountant to ensure the submission workflows are set up and preparation of group consolidation journals and associated tax packs, oManaging and reviewing business units submissions and resubmissions to ensure they meet expectations, with business unit liaison throughout the process, and oSolely responsible for preparing and reviewing the Group consolidationoPreparing reports for management and the Board •Work closely with the Business Analysts within the Group Planning & Analysis team to ensure the consolidated Group numbers meet expectations•Will also be a member of the group reporting/actuals team, particularly at year-end/half year end external reporting periods. Involved in all aspects of the external reporting process from preparation of the reporting process, through business unit submissions to the announcement of the results to the market•Ad hoc financial analysis and project work eg development of financial systems, business process re-engineering•Assist the Group Reporting Manager on the monthly consolidation•Completion of other month end activities, such as review of submissions and liaison with business units as required•Process and timetable documentation on the reporting and planning activitiesRequired experience & skills •Qualified ACA /ACCA •Experience of multi-currency consolidation•Strong technical accountant•Advanced Excel skills•Good analytical and problem solving skills•Strong time management skills•Good understanding of reporting systems•Self-motivated with proactive approach to work•Inquisitive and analytical mind with excellent attention to detail•Ability to work well under pressure and meet challenging deadlines•Ability to adapt to change•Willingness to work extra hours when required•Strong communicator with ability to maintain good working relationships with staff at all levels of seniority while ensuring colleagues meet their deadlinesExcellent career prospects and exposure across the business.
