An excellent opportunity to work in Hull and be close to all of the action and events in our City of Culture 2017 year! Our client operates in the manufacturing sector with both UK and international sites. A vacancy has arisen for a Financial Controller and reporting into the Finance Director, the role promises variety and challenge.

THE ROLE
-Preparation of monthly management accounts and reports for both local and group management
-Responsibility for all journals and month end balance sheet reconciliations/control accounts
-Maintain all accuracy of the company accounting records and systems
-Production of the statutory accounts for the group when required and provide relevant and timely management and financial information to the directors
-Preparation of budgets, forecasts and business plans to enable robust and accurate reporting
-Oversee the weekly payroll process
-Assist the Finance Director in periodic reporting for the Audit committee and ensure returns for corporation tax, VAT and other statutory requirements are submitted to deadline and ion compliance with all regulatory bodies
-Manage cash flows and take responsibility for a finance team of five, supervising and reviewing performance, managing and motivating

THE CANDIDATE
-The successful candidate will be a fully qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA accountant with previous experience of a similar position and managing a team. You will have exceptional communication and inter-personal skills, being able to liaise effectively across a business and enjoy the day to day financial responsibilities alongside motivating an engaged team.

THE COMPANY
-Our client is in the manufacturing sector and has multi site operations. The Hull office is located within good access of the A63 and eastern end of the M62 motorway, the Humber Bridge, Beverley and both East and West Hull villages.

THE BENEFITS:
-A base salary of GBP50,000 - GBP53,000 + car allowance + private healthcare + pension. Free parking is available on site.
