We are currently recruiting for a very well established organisation that is seeking to recruit an experienced and qualified Risk Manager to join their Risk and Compliance team.

The role will require you to be accountable for delivering rigorous and effective prudential risk oversight to ensure that the organisation's regulated entity, adhere to all regulatory requirements, as laid down by the PRA. Your experience will be called upon to liaise with a number of small teams, ensuring key prudential and regulatory risks are monitored under an appropriate framework.

Duties will include:

* A deep understanding of PR based upon experience gained from a Banking background
* Knowledge of other key risk types and how they impact and relate to PR and a good knowledge of industry best practice in respect of risk tools and developments and of the regulatory environment
* Monitor the regulatory environment and any changes in regulation that affects the requirements of Liquidity, Capital or the regulatory submissions of the ILAAP or ICAAP
* Champion and maintenance of the Liquidity Risk policy, Counterparty Risk policy and Capital policy
* Maintain and develop further the firms' PR strategies
* Support the development of the firms' risk culture
* Support the development of the PRMF framework and PR risk appetite
* Propose and gain agreement of the PR, risk appetite and metrics with executive management for eventual approval by the Board
* Develop and maintain PRMF document and all constituent parts
* Work collaboratively with Treasury and Finance in the design and completion of the annual ILAAP, ICAAP and RRP
* Develop and enhance risk management information
* Prepare reports and papers for consideration by executive management monthly
* Assist the CRO in consolidated risk reporting
* Develop and maintain the Stress Testing framework
* Lead the completion of the annual Reverse Stress Test process and document outputs for Board consideration and inclusion in the ICAAP
* Contribute from a PR perspective to the development and updating of regulatory documents
* Assist the CRO in the annual review of the Risk Management Framework and the Risk Appetite Framework
* Recruitment and appointment of employees within approved budget and headcount as approved by executive management
* Discuss and agree performance objectives with direct reports, including regular review of performance and appraisals
* Identification of training needs for direct reports and agreement of personal development plans

Key skills required:

* Specialist knowledge of the retail banking sector including monitoring Compliance frameworks, monitoring of material outsourcing etc.
* Experience and exposure to the above duties
* Hold a professional compliance qualification or equivalent
* Have extensive regulatory compliance experience
* Have exceptional verbal and written communication skills
* Outstanding system, MI and reporting skills
* Team management experience
* Ability to give presentations, write reports and communicate effectively to staff and management
