My client is looking for a Finance Director to join a fast paced and evolving Multi Academy Trust.

This is an exciting and rewarding role and will lead on all areas of Financial Compliance and be heavily involved with the commercial activities of the Trust. You will report directly to the CEO and support him implement the strategic plans alongside other members of the Executive team.

The role will lead on budget setting, managing cash flow, financial processing and provide expertise to the Executive team on finance matters, as well as playing a pivotal role implementing new systems and processes to maximise income and deliver best practice. You will also be heavily involved in bid writing and securing external funding therefore experience of this would be advantageous.

You will oversee all management and year end accounts and provide sound financial feedback and due diligence to a variety of audiences and have the ability to challenge and be challenged. You will manage a team of people to support you implement efficient processes; achieve economies of scale in procurement; reduce costs and increase the income of the Trust.

To be successful you will need to be a qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent accountant ideally with a working knowledge of charity or academy accounting and the ever changing funding arenas. On a personal basis you will be innovative, proactive, highly principled and self-reliant.
