Our client is a Centre for Excellence catering for learners aged from 5-25 who suffer from MLD/SLD/PMLD/ADHD/ASC and other associated complex needs.

They are based in a rural setting on the Essex/Herts borders and are looking to appoint a suitably qualified PMLD Teacher for a position starting in January for 1x term.

You will be working with learners aged between 19-25 who have a variety of SEN requirements - some more complex than others.

QTS or QTLS qualification is essential and experience of working with SEN learners is desirable. Full training and on-going CPD is available for all staff.

The centre welcomes applications from those candidates who have a real empathy of working with Learners with complex needs and have a high ambition to really make a difference to these young people's lives.

Previous experience of using Makaton or PECs would be welcome but is not essential. Empathy and understanding are key to making a difference in this centre.

All new staff members receive 5 days SEN training and a 6 month probation period with regular performance reviews. Other benefits include full, on-going CPD, Staff Discounts, additional annual leave as well as career progression.
