Adecco are currently recruiting for an Assistant Tax Manager to join our local client on a permanent basis.

You will be working within the International Trade & Tax Department and will report directly to the Director of Taxe.

In this role you will be working within a small team, responsible for providing international trade and tax support and co-ordination activities across EMEA.

You will have many responsibilities in this role, some will include:

* Accurately record VAT expense and liability, to minimise VAT exposure across all registrations and maximise foreign VAT recovery across all European entities
* Liaise with Customs Compliance Officer EMEA to ensure duties exposure and impact on manufacturing plants minimised
* International corporate income tax compliance including transfer pricing analysis for all European locations, completion of UK corporate tax returns and European company tax returns
* Income tax expense and liabilities accurately recorded, and all liabilities accrued in accordance with local territory requirements, across EMEA
* US GAAP accounting for European corporate and deferred tax
* All contracts reviewed to ensure they comply with any country specific tax based requirements

To be considered for the role you will have the following:

* Fully qualified in professional accounting / tax exams - CIMA, ACCA, CA, ATII etc
* Proven experience of working within a financial environment
* Experience in Corporate Tax, VAT or Customs Duties essential
* Knowledge of UK, US and Continental European direct and indirect tax law and practice
* Inward processing relief experience preferred
* Understanding of US GAAP accounting and or export licensing preferred
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* German/French/Italian/Dutch language skills advantageous
* Strong financial modelling skills and discipline within excel
