Salary: cGBP35,000 depending upon experience

HR / ER Advisor - Role purpose

To work with internal stakeholders to deliver a proactive approach to ER within the business. The main purpose of the role is to create positive colleague engagement and afford employees to deliver a great customer experiences. You will be the first point of contact for Employee Relations queries, with a strong focus on employee relations and case management providing specialist HR service in a number of key areas to the HR Function/business to ensure an efficient and effective HR delivery. When required, deliver ER training materials and workshops to support leadership programmes and enable line managers to effectively manage people and any associated ER situations

HR / ER Advisor - Accountabilities

• To manage case work, including supporting and coaching the line managers on best practice.
• Highlights any trends from ER related issues and supports the HR Advisory Manager on tackling issue areas on monthly report.
• To work with the HR Advisory Manager to ensure that service and delivery against case work is aligned with operational expectations with effective communication on SLA's.
• To support the HR Advisory Manager with delivering the employee relations strategy
• Reviews daily, weekly, monthly sickness/absence data, highlights trends and proactively supports the operation on reducing absence.
• To ensure all manual and electronic HR systems are maintained, fit for purpose and compliant with auditing requirements.
• To provide support as required to the Compensation and Rewards Manager during company salary review/other exercises.
• To provide ad hoc support to Head of HR Operations and HR Advisory Manager as required
• Support ad hoc department projects, providing SME input.
• Deliver ER training materials and workshops to support leadership programmes and enable line managers to effectively manage people and any associated ER situations

HR / ER Advisor - Skills Knowledge & Experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent Administrative skills including letter writing.
• Able to explain complex issues in a straightforward way
• Highly organised and methodical and with attention to detail
• Comprehensive and thorough knowledge of employment law and practice
• Analytical and numerate

HR / ER Advisor - Essential

• Substantial previous experience either in a generalist role or specialist role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of HR processes and systems.
• Able to effectively use Microsoft Office tools including; Excel, Word and Powerpoint

HR / ER Advisor - Qualifications
Fully CIPD qualified or working towards it
