Digital Retailer based in London is looking to hire a high calibre FP&A Analyst. With turnover currently at circa GBP175m, they have ambitious plans to grow and to become a dominant player in online retailing. To help them achieve this aim, they have a greater need to build bottom up forecasting in line with PLC requirements and provide departments with valuable real time information to improve and maximise performance. Coupled with a desire for more finance driven decision making based on sound management information, they need to provide the wider group with the visibility and detail required to report both internally and externally. Job Outline: You will be working with senior management (incl Revenue & Marketing teams) to determine and report insightful MI and KPI's to drive performance of the digital business. Working with the Head of FP&A and trading teams you will look to build robust budgets and forecasts which will allow the business to achieve its overall strategy whilst also ensuring each department is adequately challenged on targets and performance. You will need to analyse and interpret trading performance, highlighting issues and opportunities and with appropriate recommendations and effectively communicate and challenge various stakeholders in the business and present plans and numbers both internally and externally. Working in conjunction with the wider Commercial Finance team, you will embed financial plans into the financial management accounting system so they can be compared against actual results on a real-time basis. Requirements: Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) ideally with experience of multisite or online trading businesses. Big 4 experience preferredProven commercial awareness with an ability to continually improveSelf-motivated, resilient and able to demonstrate initiative.Proven analytical capability and experience of developing insightful MIAdvanced Excel skillsExcellent written and oral skills essential. Criteria for Success: Essential to be able to continually question and scrutinise financial information and not just accept the status-quo. Need to demonstrate strong commercial awareness. Ability to utilise reporting software and spreadsheets to produce robust analysis in a presentable and clear form to be understood by financial and non-financial stakeholders. Ability to successfully communicate and challenge business stakeholders across various levels of seniority. Necessary to be able to present and articulate with confidence and to be fully accountable for numbers and work performed. Committed to building and maintaining strong working relationships throughout the business. Ability to step up and take responsibility. At times will act for Head of FP&A. Demonstrate desire to learn, develop and succeed.
