I am pleased to be recruiting a Financial Controller for a highly profitable, Newcastle headquartered services group to join their management team. The successful candidate will lead a small finance team, ensuring the business has a robust financial infrastructure in support of ambitious growth plans. The principle accountabilities will include Provide management support to the groups finance and accounting strategy, in support of driving key performance metricsManage the businesses accounting function to ensure regulatory compliance as well as best in class standards are maintainedWork to provide accurate, added value management information in support of strategic goalsEnsure that company financial systems and processes are robust, compliant and support current activities while future proofing against ambitious growth goalsEnsure corporate budgeting processes are carried out and cost of sales targets are achievedTake ultimate responsibility for company cash management policiesPrepare and present annual accounts to the business and relevant stakeholdersEnsure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are metCollaborate with peers across group companies to drive corporate objectives and best practiceEstablish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with external parties including customers, suppliers, advisors and investors Applications are welcomed from CIMA/ACCA qualified professionals, with experience in an entrepreneurial working environment. Having worked in group company structures previously, managed third party investment and supporting investment processes, the ideal candidate will be able to analyse data and produce meaningful summaries for executive leadership. A skilled change manager, able to work through ambiguity bringing control and effective process, the ideal candidate will bring energy and ambition to an evolving department and business. With outstanding communication and influencing skills, the Financial Controller will be able to build effective relationships at all levels.
