Product Owner - Technical Platform Owner

Global conglomerate with offices in over 130 countries requires a technical product owner to play an important role in a huge program of work part of a wider digital transformation with investment of over $2 billion USD in technology alone

This is a big a big system and the global website has hourly revenues in excess of $1 million 24/7

In order to make sure that future performance and stability of systems is ensured they have decided to recruit a team of online web masters who all have overall technical accountability of circa 4 features of (16 features in total)

The role

This will be an operational role and will have overall governance and technical accountability for it and decide if new functionality ready to be released to live (have go/no go decision) and proactively manage fixes and improvements to ensure that that it is fit for purpose and that it is always on and would be last line of escalation to resolve issues

Required skills and experience

You must have worked with high availability and high transactions/revenue systems previously.

Experience having overall responsibility for a feature or website previously (in a similar capacity to this role)

The background of the Product Owner/Technical Platform Owner is likely to be within UX design or UI Development or Solutions or Application Architecture. ie the Product Owner/Technical Platform Owner will be from a technical background (not marketing or someone who manages CMS etc.)

As a Product Owner/Technical Platform Owner you will need to understand the feature back to front from a technical perspective and understand how feature works technically in production and understand how the data arrives, the business logic works, data persistence, user journeys etc.

Although you will not be coding yourself, you will need to know and understand how it all works together and overall architecture
