• My client is a market leading not for profit organisation based in the Midlands currently in Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to work for.
They require a technically strong management accountant with a proven track record of delivering effective business partnering to key stakeholders for a maternity cover until April 2018.

Job Description

• Provide operational financial advice and support to Senior Managers within Asset Management teams and act as the lead link between the functions.
• Lead in the consolidation of the Group's budgets, management and statutory accounts for Asset Management teams.
• Prepare budgets in the required Group format for Asset Management Teams. Ensure that management accounts are prepared in accordance with the reporting timetable and are prepared to a high standard and free from material error.
• Investigate variances from budget and prepare management reports and performance indicators.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts for Asset Management for budget purposes.
• Lead the statutory accounts and supporting documentation for audit and be assist with dealing with auditors' enquiries and information requests.
• Prepare regulatory reports and statistical returns in accordance with the reporting timetable and deal with related enquiries.

The Successful Applicant will:

• Have a recognised CCAB body qualification in accountancy.
• Significant experience of acting as lead finance professional in preparing management accounts and responding to the needs of budget holders.
• A proven track record of delivering effective business partnering with key internal stakeholders
• Preferably but not essential - An in-depth understanding of Asset Management teams/direct labour workforce.
• Experience of budget preparation, regular monitoring, forecasting and reporting.
• Be committed to meet reasonable timetables and deadlines.
• To be an effective communicator (verbal/written) with well-developed presentation skills able to influence and negotiate at all levels to achieve results.
• Ability to translate internal/external customer requirements into practical operational reality, improving business performance.
