If so this might be the ideal opportunity for you??? The Role The role of Accounts Senior is a new role as a result of the growth the Firm is currently undertaking. This growth emphasises the excellent service they consistently deliver to their clients as highlighted above. The ideal candidate for this role will have at least 2-3 years experience within Practice and should be a Newly Qualified/ Finalist or QBE Accountant. On Offer The position of Accountant has arisen based in Edinburgh paying a salary of between GBP30,000 - GBP35,000 with an excellent benefits package. The Firm also offer a flexible working hour system. You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties: Managing a portfolio of diverse clients including Sole Traders, Partnerships and Ltd Companies Overseeing the work of more junior Accounts staff and Administrators Preparation of statutory accounts including corporation tax returns Ensuring external deadlines are delivered for financial statements & annual returns Preparation of management accounts including providing commentary to various Boards Balance sheet reconciliations Calculation of accruals and prepayments Conducting company and personal tax planning Providing advice on processing and compliance issues Enhancing and improving clients accounting systems Providing guidance to clients on procedures and basic accounting principles Negotiating and billing of fees to clients Producing budget for Partners including variances between actual and budget/poor recoveries To be considered for this position you must have the following attributes: Newly Qualified Accountant - ICAS, ICAEW, ACCA Previous Accountancy Practice/Firm experience (ESSENTIAL) - candidates looking to return to the Accountancy Practice/Firm sector will also be considered Supervisory or people management experience would be advantageous Excellent verbal and written communication skills For a private and confidential discussion regarding this opportunity please call Gareth Spowart at the Edinburgh office.
