Our client is currently looking for a Specialist Teaching Services Manager to join their organisation on an initial 6 month contract.

The role will require a candidate with proven experience working to a senior management level, the role will require you to lead the development of Specialist Teaching Services within the County including redevelopments of trading capacities and service delivery models. Candidates will also possess experience and the ability to perform the following:
??Manage the STS Services (Hearing Impairment, Visual Impairment (including Physical Impairment), Autism Outreach, Learning Support, Autism Intensive Service)

??Develop and implement a revised service delivery model for Specialist Teaching Service in partnership with schools and staff.

??Ensure the aims of the STS service align with our emerging SEND strategy and Medium Term Financial Strategy .

??Work closely with the Head of SEND to ensure High Needs Block is managed effectively and promote inclusion where ever possible and specialist placement costs are effectively managed.

??Review our current virtual school offer to children in care and provide high level recommendations.

??Develop the relationship with schools, parents, settings and other stakeholders to ensure any change to the service delivery model is managed positively.

??Review the current trading offer in STS, make recommendations for improvement and implement a robust trading model in partnership with schools and local authority staff.

Candidates with a good understanding of SEN code of practice and the ability to work effectively with schools, local authorities, parents and young children are desirable for this position.
