Our client is a Professional Services organisation based in Edinburgh city centre. This role will take overall responsibility for the corporate tax affairs. The role includes both tax planning and ensuring compliance with tax requirements across the Group's offices. Responsibilities: Overall responsibility for UK tax compliance, including Corporate Tax, VAT, PAYE and the annual settlement agreement. Responsibility for determining and updating Global Group tax structuring. Maintenance and development transfer pricing policies, including full documentation of the same. Calculation or transfer pricing adjustments for corporate subsidiaries as well as the Central Costs recharge calculation for the entities. Overall responsibility for identifying and implementing tax planning opportunities and ensuring tax efficiency of within the UK. Input may be invited into one-off projects/transactions on a worldwide basis e.g. the set-up of new international offices, business expansion, property transactions and acquisitions. Liaising with Group Finance Managers regarding double tax relief claims, returns and certificates and to minimise the deduction of withholding taxes. Reviewing systems for collating data on international tax payments for the purposes of supporting double tax relief claims and supporting figures included within the audited accounts. Input into employer/employee tax compliance issues relating to staff moving between UK and international offices. To be aware of and responsive to risk management issues (conflicts, client checks, money laundering, establishing terms and conditions). To display good working knowledge of pricing/profitability issues and well aware of the financial strategies and targets. Tax reconciliation calculations and its overseas entities as well as calculating any tax charges or deferred tax assets to be included in the LLP accounts as appropriate. About you: Preferably Qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Tax qualifications required (CTA or equivalent). Proficient in MS Office applications (minimum of Excel and Word)
