Management Accountant - Alconbury - GBP30,000-GBP35,000Fixed term contract - 12 months - Potential to go PermanentMy client is a Leading distribution company based in the Hunts area.They looking for a management accountant to join their growing finance team. There will be supervisory duties included so a candidate with this experience would be well suited to the role.Core role responsibilities:• Assistance with Management accounts preparation for all areas of the business on a weekly and monthly basis• Highlighting persistent variances and communicating areas of concern to the business. • Creating reports to feedback information. • Communicating with departments to collate the accurate and up to date costing reports and data. • Preparation of P&L for Packhouse cost centre• Analytics behind vacancies and trends• Complete VAT Forms online on a 3 monthly basis. • Completing intrastat forms on a monthly basis.• Other government statistics as required. • Processing sales remittances to the banks. • Month end stock valuation and reconciliation. • Processing weekly and monthly bank reconciliations. • Prepare and assist in completion of annual statistics pack• Assistance with year end auditors and other auditing bodies.• Processing sales invoices onto the system.• Oversee and support with posting purchase and sales invoices on the system on an ad hoc basis.• Supporting with the Finance Holiday cover• Provide cover for purchase ledger and other finance responsibilities.Personal Profile:• Finance qualification (Part Qualified in ACA, ACCA, CIMA)ACA Part Qualified would be an advantage but not essential. • Holds a Drivers Licence• Has a high level of written and spoken English• Previous management accountant experience, or experience in a similar role within FMCG environment• Previous Management / Supervisor experience • IT Literate - High level of IT literacy with extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint• ERP system knowledgeAttributes: • Proficient at using IT systems, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel packages• Ability to effectively communicate to all levels including Senior Management • Ability to influence others • Disciplined in meeting deadlines and working under pressure • Excellent communication skillsIf this role is of interest to you then we would like to hear from you!
