The Role:
We are currently assisting a prestigious client in the recruitment of an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to join their team based at their recently built Health Care Home in Aberdeen on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a new facility that has an open-minded approach to improving the quality of life of their residents.

Duties will include:
To provide Nursing care to 23 older people, of whom 6 may have learning disabilities. To support the care team to provide daily care to meet residents health care needs.
Assist the management team in the supervision of staff and volunteers.

The Person:
The successful candidate must abide by the Nursing & Midwifery Council Professional Code of Conduct, observe appropriate confidentiality, maintain a professional profile, attend training and study days as necessary and be responsible for own Council registration. The post holder must be aware of current approaches to person-centred, palliative and dementia care and show this in practice.
A degree of flexibility is needed. You may occasionally need to perform work not specifically referred to above to support the care team and residents. The need to do such duties will be reasonable and as agreed between the post holder and the manager.

The Package:
Rate will be circa GBP15.04 per hour with weekend uplift but there is a degree of flexibility for the right candidate.

Qualifications & Accreditations - Essential
* Registered General Nurse - Current Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration

Qualifications & Accreditations - Desired
* Qualification in Nursing older people.
* Specialist training in Dementia, palliative care, and conditions typical in older people.

Key Skills and Behaviours - Essential
* Basic computer skills.
* Motivation and capacity to work effectively in critical or pressured situations.
* Confident and competent to respond to emergency and / or episodes of acute illness.
* Manage challenging behaviour.
* Ability to handle and administer drugs appropriately.

Key Experience and Knowledge - Desirable
* Dementia Care.
* Palliative Care.
* Integrated therapeutic care, treatments, remedies and medicines.
* Supervision skills.
