School Business Manager Salary: GBP30698 - GBP33159 Year (pro-rata for 25 hours)Job Details Hours of work: 25 hours per week Working pattern: Part-time, Term-time only (As the position is part-time/term-time only, the above salary will be pro rata) Closing date: Monday 6 February 2017, midday Interview date: Thursday 9 February 2017 About the Role Annecy Catholic Primary School is a one-form entry Voluntary Aided School with 196 children currently on roll from Reception to Year 6. It is situated on the South coast between Eastbourne and Brighton. We are looking to appoint a part-time Business Manager who will be responsible for all aspects of the School's financial reporting and accounting, facilities management as well as managing the School's business support functions. This is a term time only position with the requirement to work two additional weeks within the school holidays. The position is for 25 hours per week with flexibility on hours over a 5 day working week. This is an opportunity to advise and guide a small and friendly Senior Leadership Team where the children within the school are at the heart of everything we do. In fulfilling the requirements of the post, the post holder will demonstrate the following essential professional characteristics, and in particular will: Support the Catholic ethos of Annecy Catholic Primary School.Give strategic vision and leadership to all aspects of budget, finance and premises.Lead, operate, maintain and develop the financial procedure and systems within the school, in co-operation with the SLT and governors, ensuring that legal and safety requirements with regard to people and property and function of the school are maintained.Be responsible for the school site and its buildings, their maintenance, development and efficient use.To function as line manager for identified support staff. The successful candidate will: * Hold a Diploma / Certificate in School Business Management, AAT, ACCA, or an appropriate equivalent financial professional qualification. * Have successful management experience. * Ideally have experience working in a school financial environment. * Understanding of the LA and DfE financial systems and procedures (training will be provided). * Ability to work well in a team, both as a member and leader.
