McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a highly renowned 12-partner Accounting Firm in Buckinghamshire who are seeking to grow their Auditing and Accounts function and recruit Qualified ACA/ACCA Audit & Account Seniors and Part-Qualified Semi-Seniors. Reporting to one of the Client Directors, you will be responsible for: Preparing and reviewing audit work papers, along with drafts of financial statementsCompleting on-site client audits, testing specific controls/processes and highlighting any weaknesses and risksEnsuring all audit engagements are in compliance with auditing standards and internal proceduresAssisting with audit fieldwork on client sites including liaising with other internal departments to ensure the smooth delivery of the Audit programme.Producing Management Accounts & Statutory accounts for clients, drafting sections of the reports for Managers Completing VAT returns, submitting to HMRC along with client payroll information Addressing and discussing with clients any technical accounting issues identified during the course of client workDelivering an expertise across primary accounting frameworks (UK GAAP or IFRS) and in related financial reporting mattersEnsuring all audit engagements are in compliance with auditing standards and internal proceduresIdentifying areas requiring improvement in client business processes and providing recommendationsDeveloping other junior assistants in the team by on the job training and helping with their work To be considered for the roles you should be a fully qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant, ideally with previous Accounts & Audit experience in a small/medium accounting firm, used to preparing accounts, bookkeeping, VAT and undertaking audits for SME owner-managed businesses. You will have experience working in a team environment on multiple clients, building relationships with clients and internal management teams, and being able to prioritise and work to strict deadlines. On offer is a salary to GBP45,000 (depending on experience) for the Qualified role and GBP30,000 for the Part-Qualified/Semi Senior role with excellent benefits including holidays, pension scheme and healthcare.
