This is an absolutely wonderful opportunity to work for a world leader in luxury automotive manufacturing.

You'll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to the Pre-Programme Start (PS) phase of the SVO (Special Vehicle Operations) product creation process.

The primary objective of this function is to coordinate and manage a cross-functional team to deliver the timely strategic development of cycle plan concepts into clearly defined proposals for programme delivery.

The Pre-Programme Start team draws inputs and facilitates discussions to deliver an aligned Programme Start delivery plan from Marketing, Design, and Advanced Product Creation (APC) functions.

To support this exciting, ground-breaking role, you should be innovative and creative in addition to possessing competitor knowledge, financial awareness, and strong programme management skills.

You'll get an insight into the SVO business - how it operates, makes decisions, and interacts with the core of my clients business - as well as an opportunity to make a positive contribution to the SVO business.

The Programme Planner is responsible for coordinating and managing a portfolio of SVO Pre-Programme Start projects from concept through the key gateways.

You'll work with a cross-functional team to develop the appropriate programme content to meet customer, technical, attribute, and financial requirements. In addition, you'll lead Programme Steering team meetings and represent the Programme in other related meetings such as Timing, Design, Technical reviews, etc.

You'll support the compilation of the business case for the programme in support of overall business planning objectives as well as leading the cross-functional alignment process including coordination of the activities of the APC, Marketing, and Design functions.

You'll be monitoring and managing programme status and progress against key metrics and deliverables.
You'll prepare and present gateway and programme status papers for senior review as well as support cycle plan development, studies into new opportunities and technologies, and development of cross-carline implementation strategies.


As a Pre-Programme Start Programme Planner, you'll ideally have experience of programme management and/or strategic planning paired with a good technical understanding of the whole vehicle. You'll have some experience of leading projects as well as being an excellent network and relationship builder. Holding an Engineering or Business Management qualification (or having equivalent experience), you'll be prepared to question or challenge the established wisdom where appropriate, bringing a 'fresh eyes' approach.

There will be a strong element of team work required across the SVO organisation and with a wider set of stakeholders in core business functions to develop and deliver the product strategy. Joining the SVO Pre-Programme Start team, you'll apply your talent and enthusiasm to make this happen.

It would be beneficial for you to have an interest in the automotive industry, as well as excellent interpersonal, analytical, and presentation skills.
