The Associate Finance Director/Client Finance Director role is a newly created position within an impressive digital agency following a year of significant growth. Following a period of acquisition the business is seeking to secure a strong Finance professional to help drive the EMEA business. This is a dual role providing robust financial control alongside business partnering support to the EMEA business. This will include strong central finance reporting for EMEA in addition to supporting five operating companies with business partnering and commercial finance. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Client Finance and Business Partnering Providing robust commercial information regarding each EMEA operating company to VP Finance/ OpCo President / MD Client FinanceDevelop and prepare monthly reporting to include; o Month, YTD numbers vs Forecast o Top 5 Client Review o Service Mix Review - integration/collaboration and other Opcos and practice areas- Digital, Analytics, Marketing and PR o Top 5/10 pipeline o Highlights on staffing utilization Act as Mentor to direct reportsPartner with resourcing, new Biz, Legal and Operation Heads to ensure the OpCo successProvide and in-depth review of Opco mix client by clientSupport the MD, Client Finance in preparation of bids and client negotiations Financial Control Participate in the preparation of the EMEA annual budget and quarterly forecasts including management of the UK Revenue TrackerWork with client partners and client directors to ensure their projects are accurately recorded in the Financial System.Perform special projects to support the business through research and response to questions about account activity and transactions Management of EMEA Accounts Payable, review of AP invoices, employee expenses and corporate credit card before payment for accuracy and completeness.Management of EMEA Accounts Receivable, ensuring that all invoices are sent to clients on a timely basis and payment is received within payment terms.Management of the EMEA billing process to ensure that client accounts are billed accurately per the contract/SOW or Purchase Order and reconciled in a timely manner.Monitor bank service fees and address quality issues.Administration of the UK company's corporate credit cards, including monitoring of the credit card limit and needs of the businessPreparation of the UK quarterly VAT return and submission of VAT return. REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or economicsFully qualified accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA with a minimum of 5 years combined account management experienceExperience of working within a time billing and revenue recognition environmentStrong understanding of US GAAP/UK GAAP and internal controlsA solid understanding of financial reporting and demonstrated project management skills.Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost controls including VAT filings.Experience with multiple currenciesSelf-starter with excellent communications, presentation and interpersonal skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a matrix team and the desire to work in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must be able to deliver results under tight deadlines.
