International Programme Accountant

If so then read on.My client is a recognised global brand and is currently recruiting for a qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA international programme accountant to join their very successful team reporting into the International Programme Finance Manager on a permanent basis. The role will involve 2 to 3 months travel over the year.The ideal candidate will either have worked for a similar international development charity previously or even for a commercial organisation with international links and will involve:To provide meaningful analysis and insight on financial performance and contributing to the society's approach to innovation and insightTo maintain the integrity of the financial information in the finance system for the region, ensuring entries are correct and up-to-date, posting journals where requiredTo manage the financial processing relating to overseas offices in the region, ensuring the local office finance handbooks are up to date and consistent with the templateTo review and process grant agreements, grant transfers, international invoice payments and office cashflow requests for the region, challenging where necessary, and ensuring funds are sent within appropriate time framesTo be responsible for identifying any risks associated with financial systems, to propose controls or actions to mitigate such risks, and to monitor such controlsTo support year end and interim external audit processes as requiredTo be the finance contact for the region through planning, budgeting and forecastingTo analyse, interpret and report on the region's consolidated budgets, assessing the implications and recommending possible courses of action to the Head of RegionTo ensure that the planning and budget process is completed within the agreed organisational time table and in accordance with proceduresTo identify risks that may impact on the budget outcome and to mitigate such risksTo support Internal Audit as requiredTo ensure that the financial elements of International Directorate restricted fund applications in the region are prepared, reviewed and supportedTo ensure that financial reports for International Directorate restricted fund projects in the region are prepared, reviewed, supported and submitted in a timely mannerTo ensure that audits on International Directorate restricted fund projects in the region are arranged and carried out in line with the donor's requirementsTo ensure that all necessary financial support is given to all International Directorate restricted fund projects in the region during the close out phaseShould you feel passionate about getting involved in this passionate organisation where you can honestly make a difference and you meet the above mentioned criteria then please apply now.
