An exciting new opportunity at The Nottingham has become available. Reporting to the Senior Compliance Manager, the Conduct Risk Programme Manager is responsible for designing and delivering a rolling programme of activity across The Nottingham to raise the understanding and embedding of fair outcomes for customers.

The key responsibilities of this role include -

* Design and implement a rolling programme of conduct risk activities

Design, delivery and maintenance of conduct risk activities across The Nottingham that are designed to demonstrate fair customer outcomes and the implementation and development of the Conduct Risk strategy and culture across The Nottingham This will include, amongst other things, Conduct Risk training, process reviews focusing on customer outcomes, vulnerable persons, working with the first line to define and embed a conduct risk culture.

* Assessment of product changes

Assessing the changes to existing or the introduction of new, products across the group from a customer outcome point of view, working with the first line to reduce conduct risks within the product range.

* Design, production and analysis of M.I.

Agreeing and producing a set of Conduct Risk specific M.I. across the business, Analysing the M.I. and working with the first line to highlight and correct any inappropriate behaviours or trends. Building the evidence of the steps The Nottingham takes to ensure it delivers fair outcomes for customers. Responsibility for the smooth running of the Conduct Risk Committee, including acting as secretariat.

* Develop and perform customer outcomes assurance testing

Working closely with the first line, review those items that would have a direct impact on customers, including, but not limited to: customer communications, product suitability, fees and charges, governance processes for customer-impacting decisions, policies and procedures.

* Support senior management with SMR

Provide support to senior management and the group secretariat to enable them to address their responsibilities under the Senior Managers Regime, including provision of training and support with evidencing 'reasonable steps'

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate -

* The jobholder should have an in-depth understanding of the regulatory framework within which the Nottingham operates, with good technical knowledge of the current appropriate Legislation, Regulation and operational environments to ensure advice and guidance given underpins the Nottingham's compliance with its statutory and regulatory obligations.
* The jobholder should also have an in-depth understanding of the business processes across The Nottingham to ensure that all areas of conduct risk can be identified and appropriately addressed.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills both verbally and in writing in a professional and effective manner
* A strong background in either Conduct Risk or TCF programmes
* A logical, analytical approach to problem solving
* Good technical knowledge of relevant legislation and regulation, with the ability to take a broader view and suggest pragmatic solutions to ensure compliance.
* Ability to understand conceptual and process/procedural problems and provide advice and guidance on solutions
* Ability to assess situations where there is no precedent or guidance on their individual merits deciding on what terms to proceed.
* Professional, flexible in approach and highly self-motivated, with the ability to work with and influence people at all levels, capable of negotiating effectively and be discreet within their role.
