The Permanent Division of Robert Half are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller on behalf of an SME Sales and Distribution business part of a Global Group with offices based in Milton Keynes.
As Financial Controller you will report into the UK MD and take responsibility for overseeing the finance function for the UK business along with any associated responsibilities across the wider site. Day to day duties will consist of preparing month end and year end accounts in Cognos and Navision; report on a monthly and weekly basis to the European CEO and to the Group; overseeing of year end audit and VAT returns; bank and balance sheet reconciliations; implementing and maintaining financial controls and systems; budgeting and reporting; monitoring of stock control and and customer credit limits; inter-company transactions; KPI reports in line with sales; monitoring of customer discount levels and price structures; sales forecasting and other ad-hoc tasks.
This is an ideal role for a Qualified Accountant who is looking for their first move from Practice and into an all round financial and commercial accounting role or for an individual who has worked in a core accounting role and who is looking for a step up in terms of responsibilities and job title. You will be hands on in your approach and willing to get involved across the whole finance spectrum and also work closely across non-finance in relation to stock control, warehouse management and office management.
