Employer Engagement Officer
We are seeking an Employer Engagement Officer to make a key contribution to the Apprenticeship Services team within Barnfield College and join our growing customer engagement team. The coming period will see significant change within the services to support student success.
The role will require you to attend appointments with local employers who are looking at taking on an apprentice, educating them on how apprenticeships work and what it will mean to them and their organisation, ensuring that we are working with high quality supportive employers. Following on from this you will collate the job vacancy information from employers, upload the information onto the recruit an apprentice service, forward appropriate applications to employers; arrange weekly interview and testing for apprenticeship applicants; attend a variety of marketing events including school assemblies and careers fairs, update the employer and apprentice database.
You must be able to complete necessary paperwork promptly and accurately and process following set procedures. You will also be working with colleagues and curriculum departments ensuring a responsive service to all stakeholders.
We are looking for a team member with drive and enthusiasm, able to communicate effectively at all levels from young people to CEO level, whilst working to tight targets in a demanding environment ensuring that our employers and learners receive an exemplary service whilst ensuring the needs of the business are met. Knowledge of contracts and future apprenticeships is preferred however training can be given to the right candidate.
The successful candidate will have a relevant NVQ Level 3 or A level qualification(s) or willing to work towards, be computer literate and have experience dealing with enquiries from local employers regarding apprenticeships/work experience.
