Our client is looking for a HR Project Manager to join their team within their head office in Slough. Working within the business and as part of the HR team, reporting into the HR Director and responsible for a team of 6-8 staff, you will be a pivotal part of this internal team by providing support at different levels and to a multitude of departments.

Our client are looking for someone with proven project management experience within a HR sector or generalist position. They are hoping to gain a member of staff that will be able to provide support to current team members, as well as knowledge, experience and leadership. They are very lucky to have their Employee Relations organised and rolled out, so are now looking for someone to focus on policies, procedures, performance management and implementation of new systems e.g. intranet, applicant tracking system and a new employee handbook.

This is a maternity contract for 8 months starting from mid May until January 2018.


There are key projects which you will be responsible for, by identifying business requirements, setting direction, planning processes, and delivering on these projects.

This will involve working alongside our North and South HR Business Coaches to introduce and support new initiatives

* Enhancing our Company Performance Management initiative
* Reviewing and updating existing policies and procedures
* Setting direction for the HR Business Coaches in line with Company expectations

You will also be overseeing the daily management of the People Support Team in the Group Head Office, which consists of a close-knit team, professional and well humoured team.


* An experienced Project Manager with generalist HR experience
* You will be comfortable working in a fast paced, and an ever-changing environment, giving you tons of variety, daily
* Our Managers will need support and coaching through the key processes, so you will need to be someone that can help walk them through the requirements, with the aid of the HR Business Coaches
* Someone that will fit well with the People team; they all chip in and work closely together
* You will need to be very organised, adaptable and flexible, and have proven experience in delivering projects from A to B, as swiftly as possible. This role should be straightforward for someone with this relevant experience
* Ability to communicate with all levels of the business (including company Directors)
* Retail experience would be desirable but not essential
