An exciting opportunity has become available for a Finance Manager to join our well-established client's friendly and hard-working team based in Poole, Dorset!

If you have a strong understanding of the workings of an office, a basic understanding of accountancy and book-keeping but also great interpersonal skills and are great with people then we would love to hear from you!

Location: Poole, Dorset

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Salary: GBP22,000-GBP23,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Responsibilities:

*

Receive, verify and code invoices for goods and services, ensure they have been authorised by the appropriate person and entered onto Sage for payment.
*

Prepare batch payments as per the aged creditors report and manage the monthly payment run.
*

Raise and issue resident invoices for monthly fees and respite care.
*

Monitor and maintain the aged debt to a high standard ensuring monies are received and have sufficient communication with local authorities and resident families
*

Reconciling bank statements daily
*

Produce a weekly cash flow forecast and issue to the Financial Controller
*

Maintain the general ledger
*

Reconcile petty cash on a monthly basis
*

Work to strict deadlines set by Head Office
*

Collate payroll information for submission to the payroll bureau
*

Lead budget meetings with budget holders
*

To take the accounts up to Trial Balance and produce working papers.
*

Aged creditors report
*

Cash flow reports
*

Accruals, Deferrals, Prepayments as part of the working papers

Skills/Experience:

Strong understanding of the workings of an office
*

Basic understanding of accountancy and book-keeping
*

Excellent interpersonal skills - to deal with residents and external contacts
*

Good organisational skills and ability to work to, and sometime implement own processes
*

Analytical and problem solving skills
*

Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
*

Effective organisational skills
*

Effective written communication skills
*

Sage 50 experience
