We have a new exciting opportunity, not to be missed! At Plumpton College we are currently looking for an Additional Learning Support Officer to come and join our team. The successful candidate will join us on a full time, permanent basis working 37 hours per week. You will receive a competitive salary of GBP20,195 to GBP23,635 per annum.

About the Additional Learning Support Officer role

You will report to the Head of Faculty to provide administrative support to the Learning Support Team.

Duties and Responsibilities of our Additional Learning Support Officer will include but are not limited to;

- To provide administrative support for the activities of Additional Learning Support (ALS).

- To use software packages to produce correspondence, documents, spreadsheets and databases.

- To maintain all ALS student records data across the college to ensure it is accurately recorded and promptly updated onto the student records database.

- To liaise promptly with all local authorities ensuring information is timely and enables appropriate returns to be made to the relevant funding authority.

- To be responsible for all aspects of recording and notifying Data Administrators of the access arrangements students are entitled to for examination concessions.

- In conjunction with the Exams and Timetabling Co-Ordinator ensure students access arrangements are in place if required for examinations.

- To facilitate all aspects of ECHP and PEP Annual reviews.

- To ensure academic staff have appropriate information about applicants and students with declared disabilities or additional support needs.

- To evaluate the views of students accessing learning support with the college.

- To help facilitate the development of the college ALS service.

- To collect data, keep accurate records and provide reports to Local Authorities for all High Needs students.

- To maintain an English and Maths database to provide data to Programme Managers and/or Curriculum Managers on progress of students.

- To make arrangements for students' English and Maths exams with the Exams Officer.

- To set up and maintain the internal verification database for English and Maths.

- Level 2 qualifications in English, Maths and IT.

- Experience of supporting managers across a variety of departments at different levels

- Organised and methodical approach to administration and record keeping

- Excellent IT Skills

- Good negotiating and influencing skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential

- Ability to research, evaluate and analyse data.

- Ability to understand comprehensive information

- Able to work alone on a broad variety of projects.

- Integrity and friendly approach
