Linked Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a Verwood based company for a Finance Manager.

You will ensure the smooth operation and the day-to-day functioning of the Credit Control team (circa 3 staff)

Responsible for overseeing the management, performance and reporting of the debtors, provisioning and SOX testing.

Ensures the credit control proceses and internal controls follow best practice, are efficient and are continually improved, documented and meet SOX requirements. Matrix reporting Financial Controller with strong links to the Operations Manager.



Ongoing audit reviews of the larger categories of aged debt and driving cash collections strategy, ensuring cases are managed proactively setting expectations and communicating operational information.
Create and implement a monthly business information pack to report debtor performance in both sectors of the business, by customer and claim type, which brings to the attention of the reader any issues or trends.
Support the Financial Controller in planning, managing and executing the annual financial audit process, quarterly SOX returns and internal audits ensuring that all information pertaining to receivables and credit control requested by auditors is produced accurately and in a timely manner.
Manage aged debt and associated provisions in line with company policies and SOX requirements.
Monitor and Control the authorised hire collections activity, in order to reduce overall receivables and minimise bad debt.
Support business strategy to deliver improvements in the credit hire revenue adjustments/write offs process
Continual assessment of the work of the credit control team, developing practical solutions to improve the service provided.
Develop stakeholder communications that are tailored to the audience, communicating complex issues clearly and credibly in particular with senior stakeholders
Develop direct reports through training, goal setting, performance management, coaching, and effective feedback. Holding monthly 1:1s and half/annual performance reviews and monthly team meetings.
Lead the team in continually developing technical credit control and relevant business knowledge and challenging the status quo in the way in which their work is produced
Delegates tasks appropriately to team members in order to deliver a timely, high quality service to customers and to assist in the personal development of the individual team members

Stakeholder Management - to ensure a high level of customer service; accurate and timely financial reporting is maintained (internally & externally)
Debt Management - to ensure the collection of receivables is done proactively in a timely manner in line with company procedures.
Customers - ensure that all communications are in line with our responsibilities under the appropriate current legislation.
Leadership - to ensure that the team members are kept on the highest level of training and skills to collecting the outstanding debt in the most efficient way

Qualified Auditor with commercial acumen, with experience of working within Insurance or similar
Proven successful track record in leading organisation changes - Essential
Excellent knowledge of MS-Office and preferably [Sage or Exchequer] - Essential/Desirable
