Our client based near Bristol is seeking a Finance Analyst to work within a very busy finance team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, proactive and organised individual.

Reporting to the Head of Finance & Compliance, you will play a key role in developing appropriate charges for GBP150m of turnover.

This role will also be responsible for the initial generation of bid financials. You will have the opportunity to develop as part of a growing business.

Responsible for:
• Develop and maintain bid models ensuring optimal commercial outcomes and compliance with the bid governance framework
• Support the development of business opportunities through insightful financial analysis
• Analyse business trends to identify areas of opportunity
• Determining the annual regulated default tariffs each year according to price limits
• Maintaining tariff records in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Reconciling monthly wholesale/retail settlement reports
• Liaising with key senior stakeholders internally and externally
• Variety of ad-hoc tasks as they arise

Person Specification:
• Highly numerate with experience in a finance or data analyst role
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Experience of financial analysis to inform key decision making, preferably around pricing
• Effective decision making and time management skills
• Used to working within a fast-paced and changing environment
• Excellent interpersonal, report production, presentation and organisational skills, both written and verbal

In addition, the following experience would also be desirable:
• Qualified to degree level, or equivalent experience in a numerate discipline, e.g. mathematics, statistics or economics
• Experience of using high volume data analytics tools (e.g. Qlikview / MS Access)
• Studying towards an accountancy qualification
• Utility or regulated environment experience
